10th Week

And here we are. The end of our Technology Adventure. Or maybe just at the beginning...
We had 10 weeks of work when we had the chance to learn a lot both about technology use in class and about our own practices and school environments. We could realise how different or similar things can be all over the world when it comes to teaching.
Now that I look back I can see how much I have learnt and though I'm on holidays and I wish they would last forever I'm also eager to go back to school and put everything I've learnt into practice.
I will keep this blog as a journal of my deeds and achievemets concerning technology use in class, so I would appreciate if you could peep into it sometimes and leave your comments!
I than Deborah and all the colleagues for making this course so interesting and I wish you all the best!
Yours,
Elsa

  1. Hi Elsa,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Like you, I'm eager to go back to school and put into practice many of the new ideas developed through the Webskills course. I think the LoTI framework will serve as a valuable guide as I self-evaluate my progress toward that objective. However, I think the best method of determining the success or failure of our technology-based interventions is looking carefully at the impact on student learning. If we see our students becoming confident, enthusiastic, and autonomous learners, then we know we are on the right track!

    Best Regards,
    Stephen

  2. Hi Elsa,

I thought I would say hi and bye at the same time. Maybe not bye, as Victor says, this is the beginning of a much longer journey in which we try to implement what we learnt in this course. Let us continue sharing our real and practical classroom experiences. And as Stephen says, the quality of our students determines our success in this course.

    Best wishes

  3. Dear Elsa,

I have come to the same conclusion about how similar we are although we live and teach under various conditions and situations. We have the same problems in our classrooms, we come up with the same ideas for our students and we all have the same wishes, at least about teaching with technology.

It's been a real pleasure to learn from and with you. Thanks for being part of this course. I sincerely hope we stay in touch and perhaps connect our students in an intercultural project.

Good luck and keep up the good work!

  4. Dear Elsa,

I agree with you and Arjana that though we are different but so similar in our intentions and goals. Perhaps, teaching has no boundaries. We also similar in our desire to continue communicating.

    Hope to track your way!

    Best wishes!

  5. Dear Elsa,

Definitely a beginning and not an ending. We can continue to help each other in the upcoming year as we put into practice what we have learned in this course and continue to experiment with technology-enhanced lessons.

But I appreciate your wish for a prolonged vacation ;-)

    All the best,

    Janet

  6. Dear Elsa

I agree with you, I also feel I am just at the beginning, is the end of the course but the beginning of our journey towards better and more effective English teaching and learning perspectives in the modern world. This course was like a technology adventure, because we learned many technology tools used in class that help us to keep students active and motivated.

I also want to use the blog to continue communicating.

    Best wishes!

    Carlos
